Prayer

Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. 1 Chronicles 16:8

Question: Who is feeling 1000% better today?
Answer: It's Abby!
Question: Who is still showing no signs of illness?
Answer: It's Jack (and Izzy)!

It's so neat to see God's answers to our prayers in action.

I have a quick favor to ask each of you. We've been teaching Abigail about prayer and about God's movement in our lives, and we've been talking to her about how many people (some who don't even know us!) have been praying for our family. She asked who all had been praying for God to work in our family's life, but we have a feeling that it's even more people than we know!

So if you have been praying for us, would you please leave a comment on the blog to let us know?

You can simply leave your name in the comment box if you would like, or you can even post as "anonymous"...we would just love to have a visual representation of the requests that our family and friends have been praying on our behalf. And we would love to be praying for you as well!
As always, thank you so much for lifting us up in prayer. Please continue to pray for the little ones to get/stay healthy!
Love,
allison

My sweet Abigail,
Yes, little angel, there are many people who pray for you and Jack and Isabel and Mommy and Daddy. I'm one of those people. I ask God to help you feel all better. I don't like it when my little punkin' doesn't feel well. I love you and mommy and daddy and Jack and Izzy Sooooo much! And you know what else? God loves you even more!!!

Aunt Libby and Uncle Randy have been praying for the Lewis Family. After sharing your prayer request, these friends have also told me that they have been praying for you:
Geneva Crook, Gadsden, AL |
Susan Cowles, Onterio, Canada|
Betty Anderson, Texas |
Joyce Jett, Bynum, Alabama |
Maxine Ingram, Dot Walker, Eileen Cone, Lanier Adams, Eastaboga, AL |
Monique Moore and Kathy Hanks, Lincoln, Alabama
Samuel Mackey, Richmond, Virginia | Ann Collins, Ohatchee, AL | Nancy Heflin, Leeds, AL |

It is wonderful what prayer can do....and you don't have to know the person praying FOR you, and the person praying doesn't have to know YOU.....God can fill in all the blanks, and answer all needs.

As soon as I arrive home from work, I anxiously read the latest news from AL. You all are such an inspiration. We think and pray for you all night and day. When one door closes, many windows open! Love from Bruman and Beth

PS. Beth had Scarlet Fever many years ago (a little later than Colonial times) HA - pretty sick for a few days and then the fever went away for good.

I've been praying regularly and loving on you all. I ask you to pray this week-end for safety for my long walk in Atlanta--60 miles over 3 days. So glad Abbie is feeling better and Jack and Izzy aren't showing signs of being sick. Still praying also for the perfect job for Josh. I know it is there. Love to you all. Marie

To Abby: Even when friends haven't seen each other in a long time, that doesn't stop them from caring about each other...and one way to stay connected as friends is through prayer!
Josh and Allison: Tommy and I have been praying for you guys. I think about you all the time and have been praying for you multiple times each day. God is so good and I have confidence that He will continue to prove Himself faithful to you.
I love you,
Rebecca

Hi Abbey! I can't wait to see you. I hope you'll feel well enough to make pumpkin muffins this weekend. Papaw, I and so many of my friends are praying for you, Jack, Izzy, and your mommy and daddy. For example--Dianne, Eda, Eleanor, Debi, Janie, Barbara and our Sunday School class. That's a lot of people. You are even on a church prayer list in Mississippi, thanks to Papaw's sister, Sarah. God is everywhere listening to these prayers. I don't know how he does that but I'm so glad he does. I love you so much!

Love, Grandpam

As always, Five Lewis Crew, have been in our daily thoughts and prayers. We know God might not always give us what we want when we want it, but we know He will always do what is best for us.
