my phone call this morning deserves a big, fat WHOO-HOO!!!!!!!

the lord never ceases to amaze me.

my phone rang at 9:10 this morning but as i looked at the caller ID, i didn't recognize the number.  i answered, hello?  thanks to the roaring chatter of little people over the breakfast table, i completely missed my caller's introduction and had to ask her to repeat herself as i took the stairs two at a time toward my (quiet) bedroom.

what followed was something along the lines of this...

my husband and i have been following your adoption story this whole time.  we've rejoiced with you, we've cried with you, and it was through tears that i read your post this weekend.  for the next few minutes we talked about orphan ministry and the privilege we have of caring for the "least of these".  and then she dropped an enormous, delightful bomb on me:

god has put it on our hearts to offer another
$1,000 matching donation.

ummm, i'm sorry.  what was that?

we've now got a SECOND matching donation for the first $1,000 that's given to the sadamo genet child survival program.  if you send $10, it automatically turns into $30.  if you send $100, it's instantly $300.  the math just keeps getting better and better!!!!

if you're anything like me, you want the most bang for your buck.  sale prices make me giddy, and it's been my personal mission in the past to walk out of publix each week with a total that was less than my coupon savings.  well this is one of those golden opportunities where our bucks can have some serious bang because every dollar we give is TRIPLED!

please read HERE for instructions on your tax-deductible donation.  and thank you, thank you, thank you for your love demonstrated through your giving.

remember this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for god loves a cheerful giver.  and god is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Wow! God is so GOOD - what an example of how He works in and through people all the time to do His purposes for His glory. Thank you for living so transparently that you give others opportunities to participate...
